State Track and Field State Meet Results - Saturday, June 8, 2013 CDH Girls Track and Field Team scored 30 points in the meet
finishing seventh in the meet between the three CDH Raiders.
It was the best of the SEC schools with Roseville at 10 th,
Mounds View at 17th, Stillwater 23rd and Forest Lake 25 th.
Junior Megan Linder finished 7th in the 100 meter
dash with a time of 12.56 and 4th in the 200 meter dash with a
time of 25.26. She repeated as state champion in the 400 meter dash with a
personal record of 55.62.
Ninth Grader Brieasha Hunter also recorded a personal record
in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.17 placing third and finished 9th
in the 200 at 25.86.
Junior Rebecca Wilcox finished 15th in the high
jump for the Raiders jumping 5’2.
Senior Kevin Docherty (4:15.18) and Junior Jacob McDermott
(4:14.67) ran personal records in the 1600 meter dash. Kevin finished 7th and Jake
finished 6th. Out of the top
10 runners in the mile, 3 were from Stillwater, 2 from CDH and one from Forest
Lake. Over the past two weeks these runners have been competing weekly during
conference and sections.
Junior Jacob McDermott finished 5th in the 3200
meter run. Jake finished with a personal record time of 9:02. 37. The 9:02.37 was
3 seconds faster than the 2012 state champion. The top five runners in the 2013 3200 meter
run broke the state record set in 2007 by Elliot Heath of Winona.
State Golf Meet - Congrats to Junior Celia Kuenster for her third place finish at the
MSHSL State Golf Meet. She shot 72 and 72 for the 2 day event totaling
144.
Cretin-Derham Hall Athletics Cretin-Derham
Hall offers 27 varsity sports (13 boys teams and 14 girls teams) with
junior varsity, B squad and multiple 9th grade teams for several
programs. CDH competes in the ten team Suburban East Conference (East
Ridge, Forest Lake, Hastings, Mounds View Park, Roseville, Stillwater,
White Bear Lake and Woodbury and plays many metro area schools in
non-conference competition.
Parent/Athlete Meetings for ALL Fall Sports will be Monday, August 5th at 6pm in the Field House.
During the fall, winter and spring sport seasons, there are Parent/Athlete Meeting prior to the start of the season. It is encouraged that student and parent(s)/guardian attend the Parent/Athlete Meeting to learn school and MSHSL rules regarding athletics. Program information such as schedules, costs, and expectations are provided by the Head Coach at this meeting. Each individual website may provide additional information for the if you are unable to attend the meeting.
