Entrepreneurship & Innovation Courses:

CDH NEXT offers a robust series of courses designed to instill an entrepreneurial mindset and skills while emphasizing ethical leadership and global impact. These courses serve as pillars in CDH's mission to nurture students as innovative thinkers and successful entrepreneurs:

  • Entrepreneurial Mindsets: Grades 9-12 

Explore businesses of all scales and learn from both successes and failures. This hands-on class encourages collaboration, idea generation, and staying updated on current business events.

  • Marketing & Storytelling: Grades 9-12 (Prereq - Mindsets)

Master the art of brand building and professional narrative crafting. Enhance presentation skills and create pitch decks across various sectors.

  • Management & Innovation: Grades 10-12 (Prereq - Mindsets)

Gain practical skills and knowledge for success in the business world through case studies and modern technology exploration.

  • Advanced Entrepreneurship (Honors): Grades 10-12 (Prereq - Mindsets)

Develop business plans, financials, and pitch decks. Ideal for those looking to compete or grow their businesses, with potential opportunities for the MN Cup partnership.

  • Financial Literacy: Grades 10-12

Delve into personal finance concepts and practical skills such as resume building and interview preparation.

  • VentureNEXT Cohort (Honors): Introducing the NEXT Cohort, a selective program offering up to 12 students the opportunity to embark on ambitious, interdisciplinary capstone projects spanning various fields. From completing manuscripts to launching businesses or developing a nonprofit, students will receive personalized mentorship and support as they pursue diverse endeavors.

  • Internship Program: CDH NEXT offers the NEXT Internship program, providing students with invaluable real-world experiences to apply their entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in professional settings. These internships offer hands-on learning opportunities, mentorship from industry professionals, and the chance to contribute to the success of businesses or organizations. 
  • Center for Digital Storytelling: The Center for Digital Storytelling, is a transformative initiative aimed at integrating creativity and technology into education. Spearheaded by a collaborative team, this project aims to revolutionize learning by empowering students with essential digital skills. Center for Digital Storytelling is a dedicated space equipped with tools and resources for digital storytelling. Through engaging students across various subjects, training teachers, and launching pilot programs this initiative promises to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and leave a lasting impact on the CDH community and beyond.
  • Lemelson MIT InvenTEAM: Solve a problem that matters and travel to MIT to showcase your invention. The class will work together to design, prototype and build a real invention. If awarded, the students will travel to MIT in Boston to showcase their products. (Combination of afterschool and course work)
