2024 Construction Updates

Great News – Due to some of our most generous donors we will be updating and enhancing our Health & Wellness spaces for all students and construction began on March 25. Once completed, this project will impact all students and will modernize facilities for our student experience.

Construction is timed to minimize disruption for students and staff during the school year, with significant work planned for summer months. While adjustments are being made to accommodate construction, the plan will ensure minimal disruption to classes, AP/ACT testing, and the school events special to the spring trimester.  School year & summer programming will still be held in the Joe Mauer Field House and other athletic areas, but will be adjusted. Completion date is planned for the start of the 2024-25 school year.

Students and families can expect to hear more specific details from teachers, coaches, or administration if specific accommodations will pertain to them.

Building for our future! Check out the time lapse of the concrete being poured on the mezzanine level in the auxiliary gym. This space will become the new wrestling room.

The construction project is well underway.  Some highlights of the progress include:

• All demolition has been completed.
• The plumbing and electrical rough-ins are being installed in the locker room areas.
• The framework for the two story addition (dance/multipurpose room and wrestling room) in the auxiliary gym is up. 
• The mezzanine level concrete floor was poured today (see video). 
• Sheet rock walls are going up in the team meeting rooms.
