All Saints Mass Celebrated with Musical Talent from Choir and Band

November 2, 2024

Cretin-Derham Hall gathered as a community on November 1 to celebrate All Saints Day with a Mass led by Fr. Pat Kennedy ‘69, with a focus on what it means to become a saint. Fr. Kennedy encouraged students and staff to reflect on two guiding themes: recognizing the saints among us in our daily lives and understanding that answering God’s call means embracing one's authentic self.

Music played a central role in the liturgy, with both the full choir and band performing throughout the Mass. A highlight was a heartfelt communion meditation song, “Blessing,” performed by the choir, followed by a rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

Special recognition goes to Choir Director Delilah Schuster and Band Director Teddy Williams for their outstanding musical contributions, helping students bring the day’s message to life through their performances. CDH’s growing music ministry has been a testament to student dedication, with dozens of students regularly involved in music at each Mass.
