Amerigo Students Share Their Culture
February 15, 2019
On Friday, 9th and 10th grade Amerigo students shared stories about their families and hometowns with their peers.
These presentations gave the Amerigo students the chance to practice their public speaking skills and the American students the opportunity to learn about cultural traditions and stories from the international students' childhoods.
This is the first year of the Amerigo program, which welcomes international students to CDH. As CDH students, they become fully integrated into the community, joining co-curriculars and taking most of the same courses as a typical CDH student.
The Amerigo program also provides valuable exposure to other cultures for the rest of the student body.
