Students in Cretin-Derham Hall's Accounting I and II classes participated in a mentor program where they were paired up with mentors from KPMG and Allina Health.
Students exchanged emails with their mentor over an eight-week span discussing a variety of professional and career-focused topics. Towards the end of the program, students had the opportunity to visit the corporate campus of their mentor and participate in a variety of professional activities with their mentor.
CDH alum Paul Bobzien'11, who is an Associate in Business Tax Services at KPMG, said, "I had a wonderful experience participating in the eMentors program. I believe it is a valuable experience for students to learn about the "real world" of business but also for the mentors to learn about the students' lives. It is a program I wish would have existed when I was attending CDH."
