On Wednesday, May 30, 306 seniors crossed a monumental threshold in their lives: graduation from Cretin-Derham Hall.
The day began with the celebration of the Eucharist at the Baccalaureate Mass at Lumen Christi Catholic Community with Fr. Patrick Kennedy ’69. At the conclusion of the liturgy, all returned to Cretin-Derham Hall for a brunch in the Joe Mauer Field House.
Alumni Association board members Tom Troskey ’63 and Scott Anderson ’84 presented each senior a CDH keychain to welcome them to the Alumni Association.
Commencement began at the Cathedral of Saint Paul with the Class of 2018 standing together and reciting the Peace Prayer together as a class for the final time.
Speakers included CDH Board of Directors Chair Brian McMahon ’87, President Frank Miley, Principal Mona Passman, Isaiah Sullivan ’18, and retiring religion teacher Tim Spika.
Following the ceremony, graduates processed onto the steps of the Cathedral for the ceremonial cap toss before heading back to CDH one last time to enjoy the Senior Lock-In Party together.
