CDH Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

October 28, 2016
The Hispanic Heritage all-school assembly was a great success as we celebrated the contributions and success of Hispanics in our country and throughout the world. The assembly featured current and former CDH students performing traditional Mexican and Aztec dancing, reading poetry, and reading prayers in English/Spanish.
The highlight of the assembly was a performance by Maria Isa, a local Puerto Rican artist who brought the house down with her energy as she sang and played the drums. She began her performance with a beautifully sung prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe. This was CDH's first ever Hispanic Heritage month celebration and we hope this becomes an annual event.
