CDH Celebrates Native American Heritage

November is National Native American History Month, and as a CDH community, we celebrated Native Americans' rich culture and heritage.

The annual Native American Heritage Celebration was held on November 29 and included reflections by Clare Lasure ‘25 and Etienne Sebastien-Rojas ‘27. Ironboy Records, an indigenous-owned company that provided dance and music related to Native American Tribes, was there to perform.

The students learned a few things about Native American culture and learned that the beautiful, colorful clothing they were seeing is hand made, mostly by the performers themselves.

In addition to this celebration, Dr. Treuer, Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University, spoke to several classes throughout the day.
