CDH Community Connects, Explores Volunteer Opportunities and Meets New PA President at Raider Social
September 11, 2024
The Cretin-Derham Hall community came together on September 10 for the 2024 Raider Social. This event, hosted by the Parents Association, Grandparents Association, and Alumni Association, provided a unique opportunity for parents, grandparents, and alumni to connect and learn about volunteer opportunities. The new Parents’ Association president, Amy Perry, was introduced and the new school president, Jeb Myers, was there to speak as well.
The Raider Social was attended by over 70 community members. Attendees had the chance to engage with others who share their commitment to the school and explore various ways to contribute throughout the year. From planning events like the Mother/Daughter Brunch and Boutique to participating in the Grandparents Mass, there are numerous opportunities for community members to make a meaningful impact on students' experiences.
In addition to introducing new PA president Amy Perry, Colleen Buckingham, Business Office Associate, who is also the Parents’ Association liaison, expresses heartfelt thanks to Erin Kimlinger, former PA president, for her years of dedicated service, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for Erin’s willingness to give her time, energy, and talents. Her hard work and dedication have truly made a difference, creating lifelong memories for our families.”
Buckingham warmly welcomes Perry to her new role, adding, “Amy will continue with our mission creating and maintaining a strong sense of community within the school.”
Perry, who is a parent to Charlotte Perry ‘24, and Sonja Perry ‘26, expressed her enthusiasm about taking on this new role. “I have been the Grandparents’ Mass chair for 3 years and am excited to become more involved in other areas as well. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents/grandparents/alumni and stay involved with the students’ school experience. I'm committed as head of the Parents' Association to make the CDH community a special part of every student and family's experience.”
The Parents’ Association is always looking for new volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved, please fill out the volunteer form on our website.
