The Parents' Association at CDH plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a strong sense of community within the school. Monthly gatherings bring together dedicated parents who work tirelessly to plan events throughout the academic year. These events, centered around appreciation and community-building, are often cherished as the most memorable moments for many of our students.

With upcoming events like the Grandparents’ Mass on April 16 and the Father/Son event on April 20, as well as the many other events throughout the year including the Baccalaureate Brunch and Senior Lock-in on May 29, there's always something to look forward to. The Faculty/Staff Appreciation Events held throughout the year ensure that the hard work of educators and staff is recognized and appreciated.

Reflecting on the impact of these events, Colleen Ryan, a P.A. member and current parent, shared, "Every parent event is so much fun to be a part of. It's a great opportunity to connect with other parents and witness our children's growth and friendships. I have so many individual memories with each of my children throughout their time at CDH - the dances, the father-son, father-daughter, mother-son, mother-daughter, time with their grandparents, and the beautiful graduation ceremony and lock-in.” Another parent, Jamie Flynn, highlighted the importance of community involvement, especially in light of the challenges posed by the pandemic, and praised Erin Kimlinger, P.A. President, for her leadership.

Serving as a dedicated branch of the Parents’ Association, the Grandparents' Association also plays an integral role in the school community. See this article about the Grandparents’ Association to find out more about what they do and how to get involved as a grandparent.

The Parents' Association is  always eager to welcome new members. From the Mother/Daughter Brunch to the Silver Belle Ball, there are numerous opportunities for involvement. Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out this form to join in the community-building efforts and involvement doesn't have to end when your student graduates. "I love this community," said Colleen Ryan, "and will continue to help out however I can even after my children have graduated."
