CDH Sends First Team to Academic Worldquest

Cretin-Derham Hall sent its first team to Academic Worldquest on January 31, 2017.
Academic Worldquest It is a flagship program of the World Affairs Councils of America that engages more than 4,000 high school students annually across the U.S. to test their knowledge of global issues and foreign policy. Teams of four work together to answer multiple choice questions on global topics,
Ecolab hosted this year’s competition and John Guttery, senior vice president and president of Latin America for Ecolab and father of Kate ‘17 and Julia ’18, introduced the event.
CDH team members, Abby Sticha, Matt Voigt, Vincent Ning and Owen Mische answered questions about a range of topics from current events to mega-cities.
Forty-two schools participated in the competition this year. The winning team receives an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete nationally.
