Celebrating Graduation with the Class of 2019
May 30, 2019
We celebrated the Class of 2019 all day on Wednesday, starting with Baccalaureate Mass at Lumen Christi Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Kennedy ’69 and Senior brunch in the Joe Mauer Field House, where Tom Troskey ’63 and Scott Anderson ’84 welcomed seniors to the Alumni Association.
Graduation was celebrated in the evening at the St. Paul Cathedral. Faculty attended dressed in their academic regalia, and students entered the cathedral through a tunnel of the teachers who have guided them along the last four years.
Archbishop Bernard Hebda opened the ceremony with a blessing. Speakers included Religion teacher Janet Watson, English teacher Michael Powers, and Ella Doyle '19. Seniors then returned to CDH for the Senior Lock-in and a chance to celebrate with all of their friends.
