Congratulations to National Merit Commended Scholars!

Congratulations to the four Raiders who earned National Merit Commended status! These students earned PSAT scores in the top 4% of the nation. 

Isabella Lauer '22 attended the Twin Cities German Immersion School prior to CDH. her favorite classes at CDH are Physics and JROTC, and she plans to major in computer science and hope to work in artificial intelligence and robotics.

She recommends that younger students take advantage of free resources, such as Khan Academy, to prepare for the PSAT. 

Minkyu Jun '22 is an Amerigo student from Korea. His favorite class at CDH is AP Physics C, and he plans to go to 4-year college and major in Math & Computer Science, with a goal of working in tech and also teaching math and science to young people.  

Jacob Wahlstrom '22 attended St. Odilia grade school. He currently loves his computer science class, and plans to study engineering in college, possibly chemical engineering. His primary goal is to make a difference in the world. 

"The PSAT is a standardized test, it is going to be long and difficult, but the best thing you can do for yourself is doing everything you can to be comfortable and prepared," he said. "Taking practice tests, watching videos, asking people who’ve taken it about it, are all great things to do, but to a certain extent. The PSAT isn’t the end of the world; prepare, but don’t stress yourself too much about it. Be mindful of time and try to answer every problem, you’ll do great!"

 

 

 

Benjamin Weber '22 loves all science courses at CDH. He attended St. Agnes grade school and is committed to attend the Air Force Academy and play baseball, with the goal of playing professional baseball and then work in orthopedics. 

 

He advises students preparing for the PSAT to relax and get a good night’s sleep the night before.
