Diamond Promotions Recognize Outstanding Cadets

The 2021-22 Diamond Promotions were announced on Friday, October 29. Twenty JROTC seniors were promoted to Diamond Officers, with Natasha Krieger '22 being promoted to Cadet Colonel.

Sean Xiong '21, last year's Cadet Colonel, returned to share words of wisdom with this year's Corps.

"Though there were periods of restlessness, despair, and uncertainty throughout the pandemic, our duty as cadets of this brigade never waivered," he said. "We saw hope as an opportunity for all of us to lead and conquer any issues that would arise. We grew stronger and better together. We relied on one another. Though we had our positions and ranks, I was never a Cadet Colonel alone. It was the efforts of my peers that uplifted me. There was a duty for all of us despite this irreversible pandemic. The duty to lead the brigade to greater heights no matter what. To carry on the work of those who preceded us and to lead ourselves in our own lives.

"Remember this: The brigade needs you. Whether you're a Diamond Officer or not, all of you are the keystone piece to the Corps. The brigade needs you, your instructors need you, the community needs you."
