After a very successful fall sports season at Cretin-Derham Hall, there is plenty to celebrate. CDH captured section championships in girls volleyball and football that earned both teams trips to the state tournament. The girls swim & dive team has 8 individuals who have qualified for the state meet as well.

Here is a list of the great accomplishments during the fall sports season:

  • Girls Volleyball captured the Section 3AAA Championship by defeating Visitation 3-1 to earn their first trip to the state tournament since 2011.

  • Football defeated Tartan 28-14 to win the Section 4AAAAA Championship and advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2017.

  • Boys Soccer had a strong season with a second place finish in the Suburban East Conference, including a signature victory over conference power Stillwater. Billy Cornett ’26 earned all state honors.

  • Girls Soccer had a strong end to their season by winning a road playoff game and advancing to the sectional semifinals for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to Elena Kronschnabel ’25 and Brynn McCabe ’26 who earned all state honors.

  • The Cross Country team had a strong showing in the sectional meet. Abby Chestovich ’26 just narrowly missed qualifying for the state meet with an outstanding effort.

  • The Performance dance team had an outstanding season coming off a fantastic performance at the South St. Paul Dance Show, and a very busy Homecoming where the team took on multiple routines for Pep Fest and their amazing halftime performance at the CDH Homecoming football game. They also hosted some "Future Raiders" at their annual Kids Clinic in the CDH Field House on October 5 which culminated with a joint performance at halftime of the October 10 football game vs. St. Louis Park.

  • The Girls Tennis team had a very productive season with a huge increase in participation, with over 70 girls participating this season. They also held their annual team trip to LaCrosse, Wisconsin and participated in several tournaments with strong results.

  • The Girls Swim and Dive team has had a great season and returns to the state tournament. Congratulations to Maeve Johnston '25, Sara Linder '25, Emma Donnelly '25, Eden Kelly '25, Josie Johnson '26, Ellen Kovats '26, Lauren O'Donnell '26 and Cora Moore '27, who all qualified for the state meet November 14-16 at the University of Minnesota.
