JROTC's 103rd Fall Review
October 7, 2021
On September 29, the Raider Brigade held its 103rd Fall Review. The Fall Review celebrates the anniversary of the first parade of the Corps of Cadets on Thanksgiving Day of 1918.
The reviewing officer was Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) James Fischer, previously the Senior Army Instructor at CDH. In his remarks, he reflected on the similarities between the challenges of 1918 - a pandemic, the end of a war - and those our students face today. He encouraged students to stay true to the values they learn here as they face challenges through their lives.
"When you get out of step, or do a column right when you should have done a column left, correct yourself, get back on track, get back in step," he said. "The parade of your life is not over until the final note of the final song sounds ... In working to stay in step with your values, you will honor that long line of Raiders who have gone before you and show respect to the families that love you so much. You will make a positive impact on your community, and you will influence others to accomplish tasks that make a difference for the greater good."
