Letter from the Principal - April 2022
April 13, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Yesterday, we hosted our Grandparents’ Mass and were all blessed by the sacramental love that grandparents and their grandchildren share.
I was taught at a very young age that humans cannot comprehend God’s love. As we grow older, we learn to turn to recognize the sacraments as an outward sign of inward grace. Yesterday, through our grandparents and their grandchildren, we experienced both the Sacrament of Eucharist and sacramental love.
It has been three long years since we hosted our grandparents at this liturgy. It was our true privilege and honor to finally do so again. Father Pat Kennedy ’69 spoke about the unique relationship grandparents and grandchildren share. Grandparents worship the ground their grandchildren walk on. Grandparents bring out the best in their grandchildren in a way that parents and educators cannot do.
Yesterday, we saw the best in your children and grandchildren. We saw their innocence when they looked at their grandparents. We saw their kindness when they served their grandparents coffee and sweets. We saw their tenderness in every interaction they shared with their grandparents. We were witnesses to the gift of God’s holy love.
We were truly blessed to welcome and host our grandparents yesterday. We were also blessed to see our students through their grandparents' eyes.
Have a beautiful and blessed Easter.
Sincerely,
Mona Passman, Principal
