Letter from the Principal - March 2024

March 13, 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It’s a great time to be Raider! Congratulations to the many students and teams who earned their way to state-level competition this past month. Please take the time to read this issue of the Communicator to learn all about all their accomplishments.

These individual student and team accomplishments are quite impressive, and so is the community support behind them. We take great pride in our school’s success, but we also know that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Many parents, alumni, and friends of CDH continue to rally behind the students and the school.  It is rewarding to experience and witness the pride we share in “the greatest school in all the land.”

Amidst all of these celebrations the last few weeks, we closed out the second trimester and started the third.  Our teachers, counselors, coaches, administrators,  and other staff members are working diligently to create a successful end to this school year, including activities, athletics, celebrations, prayer, prom, graduation, and more.

We have also started making plans for next school year. Our current students selected their classes last month and we welcomed the CDH Class of 2028 at their registration on February 29. I love this opportunity to meet our new students and families as they embark on this next stage of their educational journey.

Finally, we look forward to the completion of our new building enhancements. Demolition will begin over spring break with the completion date scheduled prior to the start of the 24-25 school year.  Summer construction will minimize disruption for students and staff during the school year. The construction plan this spring will ensure minimal disruption to classes, AP/ACT testing, and the special third trimester school events.

Enjoy the spring break.  The busiest part of the school year will be upon us soon.

Wishing you a Happy and Blessed Easter,

Mona Passman
