Letter from the Principal - November 2024
November 13, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy November.
We began this month by celebrating All Saints Day, a day when we remember all those who have gone before us. We spend this entire month of November celebrating the communion of saints and rejoicing in the knowledge that we will again see those we love. Our liturgy this year was poignant because of the many parents, family members, and friends who have died in our community. We continue to grieve those who have passed away while honoring and remembering them.
As we head into the middle of the month, students, staff, and teachers are preparing for the end of the trimester. This is often a stressful time for students because they are finishing projects, writing papers, and preparing for final tests. Teachers and counselors have observed student anxiety through an increased need for advice, assurances, and academic assistance. We are also experiencing more disruptive classroom behavior with some of our students. I assure you that administrators, teachers, and counselors continue to collaborate to support our students and address any student behavior issues. We appreciate your partnership in communicating with your students and encouraging them to make good choices.
Finally, as we head into Thanksgiving, we recognize with gratitude the gifts we receive at CDH. We are grateful for the opportunity to teach, counsel, and coach your children. We also appreciate you, our parents and guardians, for the abundant trust you continue to place in us.
I am thankful for all of the blessings of this community.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Mona
