Grounded in the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Brothers of the Christian Schools, our CDH LaSallian Youth (LY) are once again focused on the work of exploring and supporting Faith, Service, Community and Justice. Our LY gather weekly over lunch and homeroom on Fridays. All students are invited to gather as their schedule allows and join in our time of prayer, conversation, stories, reflection and prayer.
This past November, in partnership with LaSallian Youth from Totino-Grace, DeLaSalle, Holy Family and Benilde-St. Margaret’s, CDH students and staff hosted our 5th annual LY Night to Fight Homeless. Our overnight-included speakers helping us understand the challenges facing young adults who are living on the streets of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Though the night on the baseball field was cold, all participants gained a deeper sense of what it might be like to be without a home.
The following CDH students and staff participated in our night: William Burke, Samantha Huot, Will Domler, Monica Malloy, Charles Oakes, Lily Brielmaier, Elizabeth Everson, Maria LeMire, Taylor Lindeman, Augustus Nelson, Callahan Rios, Caroline Schuster, Katie Stevermer, Karissa Tschida, Jenny Vu, Teagan Fee, Jennah Garibay, Melissa Garcia, Lucy Grumbles, Margaret LeMire, Molly Roberge, Ben Arends, Nick Auran, Noah Koenig, Jack Messing, Sam Miller, Claire Minea, Kathleen Nichols, Sam Olson, Amanda Schmitz, Evan Thompson, Franco Torrescano DeLaTorre, Zach Wicklund, Molly Wier, Andrew Wingerd, Mr. Joe Miley, Mr. Sam Vetch, Ms. Suzanne Zobitz, and Mr. Peter Gleich.
