Ping Pong is CDH's Newest Club
October 31, 2022
Co-curriculars are an integral part of the Cretin-Derham Hall experience and we take them very seriously. CDH offers over 45+ clubs and activities plus sports with 95% of our students involved in a club and/or sport. Our students like to get involved and stay active.
There are clubs and organizations that offer something for everyone ranging from academic competitions, creative outlets, service groups, campus ministry, and leadership opportunities. CDH also offers a full-slate of athletics - both intramurals and the 27 different teams who compete in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
Sometimes a student or group of students have an interest in starting a club that is not currently offered. We love when this happens! What a great opportunity to polish up those leadership skills.
This past summer, Sam Laughlin ’23 launched a Competitive Fishing Club. It was no small feat meeting the Minnesota Bass Fishing League’s standards, but he persisted and succeeded in getting off the ground this past summer with a very successful season.
The newest club to be launched by students is the Ping Pong Club. Luca Benke '24 had the initial idea and worked with Mr. Cusick to come up with a plan to get it going. The club will meet from 3-4 pm Thursdays in the Auxiliary Gym starting November 3 and will go through Christmas. Contact Jesse Cusick for more information or stop in for one of the meetings.
