Senior Women's Retreat Offers Time to Reflect about the Light of Christ
By Lou Anne Tighe, CSJc, Director of Campus Ministry
October 9, 2018
A number of years ago, some students in the senior class approached CDH administrators about having an all-female retreat. The administration agreed, and a new tradition was born. Every year since, members of the senior class, working with Campus Ministry faculty, plan and organize a two-day retreat to celebrate the beginning of their senior year,
Seventy-five girls from the Class of 2019 carried on the tradition with a retreat at Camp St. Croix in September 2018. The theme, Finding Your Fire, Feeding Your Fire, involved time for reflection about the Light of Christ in all of us.
Surrounded by nature and beautiful weather, they strengthened their relationships as part of the discussions about how to keep that fire, that light, burning. And, the s'mores over the campfire were awesome!
