Student Council Organizes Successful December Blood Drive
December 14, 2018
The Student Council Service Committee hosted a successful December Blood Drive. The co-chairs of the Blood Drive were juniors Ethan Thompson and Harry Olander who played a huge role in making this blood drive a success according to Blood Drive supervisors, CDH Spanish teachers Mrs. Patty Murray and Mrs. Suzanne Engel Zobitz '80.
Karin Bauer, a donor recruitment representative for Memorial Blood Centers, was very grateful for the critical blood donations and shared, ”Your students were awesome! I had so much fun at the drive and it was great to speak with so many students and experience their enthusiasm and generosity. You truly are fostering great people at CDH and I am thrilled I get to keep working with everyone in the future.”
CDH December Blood Drive Totals (provided by Memorial Blood Centers):
- 91 whole blood units
- 41 double red units
- 173 TOTAL units, which was 92% of a very ambitious goal of 189 units
These units will give critical hope to patients in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered at the December Blood Drive. You are truly life savers!
