Students Sign National Letters of Intent
November 9, 2022
Seven senior student-athletes celebrated signing National Letters of Intent to Division I and II schools on November 9 at Cretin-Derham Hall. Parents, coaches, teammates and friends cheered them on as they committed to continuing their athletic careers in college.
“This day means a lot to me because I have been working hard to be able to play at the next level for years now,” said Adam Tauer ’23, who will play basketball at the University of St. Thomas. “It is great that our community can come together to celebrate my classmates and I living out our dreams.”
Joining Tauer in signing are three hockey players. Jake Fisher ’23 will play college hockey at Northern Michigan University. Jake is coming off a tremendous junior season as well as a spectacular fall Elite League performance. Teammates Colton Jamieson ’23 and Attila Lippai ’23 will both be headed to the University of St. Thomas. Both Jamieson and Lippai were key to the Raiders' state tournament run.
Gillian Kircher ’23 will be playing Division I volleyball at Fairleigh Dickinson in New Jersey. Kircher was a captain and most consistent player for the Raiders this past season.
Jack Taxdahl ’23 will play baseball at the University of Minnesota for legendary coach John Anderson. Taxdahl will anchor a Raiders baseball team with two other Division I commits.
Margarita Lucio ’23 will stay close to home and play lacrosse at Concordia University in Saint Paul. Lucio posted an 8-3 record in goal for the Raiders last season.
Congratulations to these outstanding student-athletes as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The CDH community wishes you the very best of luck.
