Summer/Fall Reunions Bring Alumni Together

During the past summer and early fall, alumni from Cretin, Derham Hall, and Cretin-Derham Hall hosted several reunions to reconnect with their classmates and friends.

The 60- and 70- year reunions were held during the new CDH Homecoming week on September 26-28, with events on the CDH campus and at local venues in the surrounding area. 

Over 100 alumni gathered for “Alumni on Campus” on Friday, September 27 at CDH.  Alumni enjoyed a special Mass, luncheon, and tours of the school, including the updated lockers rooms and wellness areas.

The Cretin and the Derham Hall classes of ‘74 enjoyed their reunions with a golf outing, dinners, and special tours of the school.  An “All-School” 50th Class Reunion was held at the Mendakota Country Club.  

The CDH Class of ‘99 celebrated their 25th reunion at Shamrock’s.  The Derham Hall and Cretin classes of 1979 celebrated 45 year reunions and the CDH class of 2004 celebrated their 20-year reunion at Sweeney’s in St. Paul.  Derham Hall ‘84 and Cretin ‘84 gathered for their 40th reunion.  CDH Classes of 1994 and 1989 will celebrate their 30th and 35th reunions in November and December.

Reunions are a wonderful way to reconnect with classmates and it is also a great way to celebrate and give back to Cretin-Derham Hall with a financial gift.  Many classes choose to coordinate their gifts.  For example, the Cretin Class of 1984 dedicated their 40th-anniversary gift to the memory of their classmate, Marty Gensch through the Marty Gensch Scholarship Fund.
