Two New Co-Curricular Clubs Are Offered to Students This Fall
September 12, 2018
Two new co-curricular clubs were recently added the already 40+ clubs and groups available to CDH students. There truly is something for everyone!
The Sustainability Club seeks to create an educational campaign in order to teach other students how important it is to use reusable items as much as possible. Club leaders are really interested in being part of developing green themes on campus. One of their goals is to have a full week of events highlighting the environment during Earth Week in the spring. Some of the events they are exploring include inviting in environmental-themed speakers; giving prizes to people who carpool or ride their bikes; hosting an environmental Fair; and creating awareness posters for the school. For more information, contact Ms. Quinn Kiernan.
The Art Club provides an opportunity for students to further their art making experience. The club meets weekly after school and is a lot of fun! Students may join the club even if they are not currently enrolled in an art class at CDH. The environment is just like an art class and students get to pursue their art interests, express themselves creatively, and try new mediums such as working with watercolor or textile art. For more information, contact Ms. Sue Cranston.
More information on these and other co-curricular opportunities will be highlighted at the CDH Activities Fair scheduled on October 3, 2018.
