Update on Presidential Search

Dear Cretin-Derham Hall Community,

The Board of Directors, including our sponsors, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and the Christian Brothers, have selected Carney Sandoe & Associates (Boston, MA) to lead the search for the next president of Cretin-Derham Hall. They have vast experience in helping Catholic and independent schools find and retain the best people to lead their institutions. We believe they offer the values-driven executive search approach, coupled with extensive expertise and national success, that will benefit CDH in this critical decision. Our two lead search consultants, Barbara Dausch and Mike Truesdell, bring impressive credentials as former presidents of Catholic high schools, in addition to a deep understanding of the Catholic mission, education and academics, strategic planning, advancement and fund-raising, enrollment management, and operations.

The Carney Sandoe & Associates’ approach will include important engagement with a broad slate of stakeholders of the school to understand the mission, core values, strategy, competitive position, and opportunities to position our school for success. They also bring nearly 40 years of experience in developing an effective transition and onboarding process to ensure the success of our next president.

The Carney Sandoe & Associates team will also manage the naming of an Interim President who will assume the role upon the departure of Frank Miley at the end of the school year.
