Writing Students Visit UMN
March 9, 2022
Students in the College in the Schools Writing Studio visited the University of Minnesota on March 8. They joined students from all over Minnesota and into Wisconsin to learn about college-level writing and life as a college student.
Students had the opportunity to participate in small group sessions including "Writing in the Humanities," "Study Abroad," and "Chat with a [U of M] Student."
Caitlin Mulcahy '22 enjoyed learning about students' experience taking the same course at other schools, how roommate selection in college works, and how to be successful academically.
"I learned about different research opportunities when in college and that it is important to reach out to my professors to seek these opportunities," she said. "It is very important to have a good relationship with your professors!"
